Paul was born on August 5, 1937 in Rockingham, NC son of the late David Garner and Vera Elizabeth Parrish Garner.
Paul enjoyed his dogs, hunting and fishing and was a member of Greenhill Hunting Club.
Paul is survived by 4 sons: Paul David Garner, Jr. and his wife Sandra Lynn, Thomas Anthony Garner, Donald Ray Garner all of Wilmington and William Daniel Garner of Castle Hayne; 2 daughters Beverly Bernice Reece and Denise Perez-Zunun and her husband Virgilio all of Wilmington, 1 sister, Mary Ellen Flowers of Wilmington; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel. Interment to follow at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1873 Maco Rd NE, Leland, NC 28451.
