Nancy Miller Gray

She was born on October 23, 1928 in Statesville, NC, daughter of the late Betty Miller.

Nancy was a retired hair dresser for 62 years and had many friends in the business. She was an avid bowler and was once a member of the Women’s Bowling Association for many years. She was also a star basketball player in high school on the Statesville Women’s Basketball Team. Nancy was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church and a member of the Agape Sunday School class which she loved very much.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 47 years, James T. Gray; daughter, Deborah Simmons and her husband, Michael of Pinehurst, NC; step-son, William Gray of Wilmington, NC; sister, Betsy Jurney and her husband, Steve of Statesville, NC; further survived by many cousins, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Pine Valley United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm with Rev. Trish Archer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
