Myrtie Christine Coble

Myrtie Christine Jernigan Coble of Titusville, FL, was welcomed into our Savior’s arms on Sunday May 14, 2017 surrounded by loved ones in her home. Chris was born May 25,1921 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Lewis William and Myrtie Francis Johnson Jernigan.

Chris loved her Lord and Savior and found great comfort throughout her life knowing he was always there for her. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Titusville. Chris was a loving mom, wife, aunt, sister and friend. Her family meant the world to her and we were all blessed to have her in our lives. Those who knew her enjoyed hearing about her many life adventures, as she was a gifted storyteller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands J.B. Warren, Walter Robert Wooten and Randolph Ladd Coble. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Meta Jernigan Starling, Ludie Jernigan Britt, Ruth Estalene Lindsay, Doris Jean Jernigan Andrews, Virginia Jernigan Royal and brothers, Johnnie Mayo, Audie Gerome, Willie Lewis, Julius Maylon, Hubert Carl, and Lewis Paul Jernigan.

Christine is survived by: her brother and sister-in-law Ralph Waldo and Eloise Jernigan and brother and sister-in-law Charles Hiram and Patricia Jernigan, both of Clinton, NC.

Children: Her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Russ Beckwith of Titusville, FL, her son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Gail Wooten of Oak Island, NC, her daughter and son-in-law Dolores (Lori) and Steve Angel of Ridgefield, CT, stepchildren; Randy Jr. and Mary Jane Coble of Wilmington, NC, Marsha and Jerry Coleman and John and Nancy Coble of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Grandchildren: Ricky Horton and wife June, Katherine Bevel, Robby Wooten and wife Katie, Dustin Wooten, Logan Angel and Mason Angel.

Great Grandchildren: Bryce Horton, Keith Allcox, Haley Bevel, Brenden Wooten

Step grandchildren: Elizabeth Sweeney, Stan Borneman, John Coble Jr., Ritchie Coble.

A celebration of Life service for Chris Coble will be held on Saturday May 20th at 2:00 PM at Coble Ward- Smith Funeral Home, Wilmington NC.
