It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mason Nicholas Thompson, 20, of Wilmington, NC, who was tragically taken from us on December 5, 2024. Mason was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose bright light and infectious energy touched everyone who knew him.
Born on November 9, 2004, Mason was a spirited young man who lived life with passion and joy. He cherished his family deeply, including his older brother Cole, his devoted mother Shannon, and his loving father Jason. He shared a special bond with each of them, creating countless memories filled with love, laughter, and warmth.
Mason had a profound love for fast cars, a passion that reflected his vibrant and adventurous spirit. He also took great pride in his work at his family’s company, where he often referred to his responsibilities as “man’s work.” Mason tackled every task with dedication and a sense of purpose, always striving to give his best.
Gentle and kind-hearted, Mason had an innate ability to connect with people. His quick wit and natural sense of humor made him the life of every gathering, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Whether through a clever joke or a simple gesture of kindness, Mason had a way of making everyone feel special.
Mason’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. While his time with us was far too short, his memory will live on through the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
He is survived by his parents, Jason and Shannon Thompson, his older brother Cole, and an extended family of relatives and close friends who will forever cherish his memory.
