Lori Ellen Blake

Born April 16, 1966 in Siler City, N.C. to Evelyn and Robert F. Blake, Sr., Ellen will be remembered as vibrant, energetic, proud mother, whose children meant the world to her. She was a friend to all. Ellen’s loving and caring spirit shined as a bright light of support and encouragement to her family and friends. Ellen would always greet you with hugs and leave you with more hugs and a warm smile. She moved at a young age to her forever home of Carolina Beach, N.C. where she also began her journey with Christ attending Seaside Chapel. After graduating from High School, she fulfilled her desire to serve in the U.S. Navy trained as a Dental Hygienist. After serving her Country, she returned home to Carolina Beach where she was known and loved by so many. She loved the beach life and the excitement of supporting the tourism industry. She often worked in hospitality while at the same time, continuing her full-time work in Pediatric Dentistry which was her passion.

Ellen is survived by her children, Justin Barnes of Carolina Beach, N.C. and Kinsey Michele Bryant (Stephan), of Roanoke Rapids, NC., her siblings Debbie Osborn (Gregg), Columbus Ga., Robbin Lancaster, of Atlanta, Ga., Robert “Frank” Blake (Janet) of Amelia Island, FL., several nieces and nephews that she cherished, and her loving dog, Louie. She will be sorely missed by Louie, her ever-present Yorkie companion. She is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda McPherson (Clyde), her Parents, Robert and Evelyn Blake.

She will be laid to rest among family, next to her parents in a private ceremony at Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, N.C.. A celebration of life memorial is planned for a later date.
