John David Godbold, 65, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was born in Clinton, NC on November 5, 1952 to John David “Jack” and Jessie H. Godbold.
David worked at DuPont in Leland, NC for 28 years. He was an avid King Mackerel fisherman and successfully placed in numerous fishing tournaments.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his son Kevin.
David is survived by his wife Debbie of 38 years, son Wesley, sister Delores (Rickey) Hamilton, mother-in-law June Bass, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, friends, and his loving companion Lacey.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Fellowship Baptist Church. A visitation will take place one hour prior. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
