He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Hazel Davis, a brother Billy Davis, and his son Jimmie Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Davis of the home; his son Todd Davis and wife Linda of WIlmington, and daughter Charmaine Davis Johnson of Carolina Beach; brother Johnny Davis of Lexington, NC, his grandchildren; Jason, Anthony, Brittan, Lindsey, Alex, Brice, and great-grandchildren; Marissa, Jacob, and Brody.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was a welder and worked in heavy construction until he retired. Then, he enjoyed his work as a part time Walmart associate. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences welcome at www.Coblewardsmithwilmington.com.
