Jesse R. (JR) Davis of Wilmington, NC, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 30, 2018.
He was born in Wilmington, NC on January 8, 1926 to the late Arthur Davis and Marie Gregg. He is also preceded in death by his two brothers Arthur Davis and Leroy Davis.
Jesse enjoyed working in his yard and playing many rounds of golf with Jim Coates. He also spent many hours volunteering for the DAV.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Davis; nephew Billy Davis (Cyndy) of Greensboro, NC; and brother-in-law Chuck (Debbie).
A visitation will be at 12:00pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Long Leaf Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Joshua Reilly officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
Our hearts are broken but we know we will meet again.
