James "Jim" Michael Richardson

Jim retired from Piedmont Airlines/US Airways after a 30 year career. People will remember being greeted by his smiling face at Hanover Center’s Harris Teeter, Chic-Fil-A and Hardees, for a total of 23 years after his retirement. Jim has been a faithful member of First Christian Church in Wilmington since 1994.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 41 years, Diane W. Richardson, his children from a previous marriage; son Mike (Pam), and daughter Jill R Hall (Barry), sister Terri Brown and husband Ralph, seven grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.

A visitation and light reception will be held from 11:30 to 12:45 on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at First Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Brad McDowell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 2035 Oleander Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403.
