Grace P. Hendrix

A longtime resident of Wilmington, she worked as a bookkeeper at Colonial Stores, the former S&G Concrete, several banks around Wilmington, and as a visitor representative for the Healthy Horizons Program at Cape Fear Hospital. She also worked at New Hanover County Health Department and the New Hanover County Arboretum before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Harry Hendrix and two brothers, James Price and Louis Price. She is survived by one son, Harry Mark Hendrix and wife Cheryl; three grandchildren, Bianca, Evan, and Anna; three sisters, Doris White, Joyce Connor, and Lou Ellen Johnson; and one brother, Henry Price.

Grace was a loving woman, who always had a smile on her face. Grace will be missed dearly by her family and friends alike.

A family visitation will be held at Coble Ward-Smith, Oleander Chapel on Wednesday November 2, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
