Susan Brown, age 81, born on April 1, 1942, has left us with cherished memories and a legacy of love and kindness. She was the daughter of the late Julius and Evelyn Browdy, and sister of the late Marshall Browdy. Susan peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Susan’s life was a testament to warmth and generosity. She was the beloved wife of Gordon Brown, with whom she spent 43 happy years, a devoted mother to Adam Stone and daughter-in-law Malita Stone, and Abby (Rob) Brooks, and step mother to Cindy Brown and late Debbie Brown. Susan’s greatest joy came from being a proud grandmother to Arianna and Tahlia Stone, Jonah, Molly, and Ari Brooks, and Deena McGarvey.
Susan had a keen eye for aesthetics, which she expressed through her natural talent for decorating. Her home was always a warm and inviting space where friends and family gathered for beautifully curated dinners and parties. Her passion for creativity also shone through her love for knitting, creating beautiful afghans and scarves that will be cherished by her loved ones.
One of Susan’s favorite pastimes was sitting in her backyard, enjoying the serene beauty of the flowers that Gordy lovingly planted for her. Her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and her love for her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
