Sheryl was born on March 13, 1973 in Kingston, Jamaica. She came to the United States at 18 years old to attend college. Sheryl received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and worked as the Associate Vice President, Behavioral Health Services for Generations Healthcare Network. On March 12, 2014, Sheryl married David Coulombe of Saint-Magloire, Canada. Together, they raised their dog, Solis.
Sheryl had a passion for learning, travel, music, and reading. She was known for her intelligence, strength, sense of humor, honesty, curiosity, and love for her birth country, Jamaica.
Sheryl was deeply loved by her husband, family and friends. Survivors include her husband David Coulombe, her father, Clive Smith, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lyne and Yvon Coulombe, her dog Solis, and numerous other relatives and friends.
The memorial service will be on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL 60091. Visitation will follow directly after the service until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie, IL 60076.
