James C. McAnulty Jr., age 76, of Wilmette, formerly of Evanston, died peacefully on January 21, 2020 of complications from cancer. He was born in Columbia, Missouri to the late Gladys (Paxton) and James C. McAnulty, Sr. on August 19, 1943. The family moved to Evanston soon after his birth where they lived for ten years before relocating to Wilmette. He is survived by his beloved Significant Other Rosemary, his loving sister Judith (McAnulty) DeGarmo and brother-in-law Lyle DeGarmo. He was the loving brother of the late JoEllen McAnulty. He will be missed by many dear friends, neighbors, and cousins.
After graduating from New Trier High School, James attended college in Florida and Kansas City, Missouri.
James was a Realtor on the North Shore for many years, eventually becoming a Broker and starting his own company, Architectural Properties. He helped many friends find homes along the way. Previous to his Real Estate career he worked in Sales at Bell & Howell Company. James loved traveling to the Mississippi River with Rosemary, boating, and dinners out with Rosemary’s family and other friends and family.
Interment private due to health situation concerns.
