Yogi was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Samuel Klein and Lillian Krakow Klein, and by his wife, Mary Ida “Marti” Klein. He was the proud father of two daughters, Lisa Gay (Nick) Ingravallo and Kimberly Rose (Timothy) Klein Arvanites, and five grandchildren, Natalie Marie Ingravallo, Peter Joseph Ingravallo, John Timothy (JT) Arvanites, Justin Timothy Arvanites and Ava Vilma Arvanites. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois in liberal arts and truly one of a kind.
Yogi was a gentle man who had a great sense of humor and lived life with jubilation and passion. He will be remembered for many things, but one of his most shining moments was at the age of 50 when he became the oldest bat boy in the history of major league baseball. He was a bat boy for the Chicago Cubs and White Sox that year and even coached third base during the Old Timers game at Wrigley Field. He was creative, open minded and supportive of people of all religions, race, gender identity and orientation. This beautiful trait is something we are proud of.
We will miss him very much, but it brings us peace knowing he is at rest alongside Marti and his parents. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
