I apologize as I have just heard of Rich's passing. I worked with Rich for about nine months at Will Foods and was a genuine, sincere person with a kind heart and a great attitude toward life.  I am better for having known him.  Please accept my deepest sympathies.  Howard Hein

I just learned of this and feel so bad that I didn't know in time to attend the services. We all grew up together on LaSalle and he was like a brother to me. And while we didn't see each other much anymore, we often ran into each other during the summer. It was always like old times and we'd pick up where we left off. I'll miss him. My sympathies to all of you.

I last  saw Rich at our high school reunion. I will always remember him as a genuinely nice human being who spread the joy of life with every smile.

It's so hard to lose a parent. It sounds that he was a wonderful man. Chris, Bailee, Rosie and myself want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. But rest assure he is now in the good hands of our Lord.

We were so sorry to hear of Rich's passing. His infectious smile and great sense of humor always made him a joy to be with. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers  are with you at this difficult time.

I knew Rich at Lindbergh Elementary through Kenmore West.  Always a good warm guy and fun to be around.  My deepest condolences to his family.  The world is a little less warm now.  I celebrate the years I knew him.

When my brother, Paul, texted me the news that Richard had suddenly been called by The Lord my heart sunk, my eyes teared and I couldn't stop hearing my dad saying "Enjoy every moment you have on this earth as if it were your last and always say and show your love to your family because you never when you are going to be called."  Richard was called way too early, leaving behind a strong, loving family who will miss him terribly.
But our faith does not allow us to be bitter towards God but rather, we must celebrate his life, remember the stories, the jokes and be reminded he is now reunited with his parents.  His mom and dad were such special people and the children certainly picked up those qualities.

Rich was a class act. Always there to offer a smile and a kind word. Taken from us too soon. My heart is heavy and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this very difficult time.

I had the pleasure of selling Richard his last car - and I do mean PLEASURE, because he was one of the most entertaining customers I ever had. Talked to everyone in the dealership, myself included, like they were old friends. Janice- if you need any help with the vehicle or any questions answered, please let me know.

A defensive driving instructor goes to heaven and meets St. Peter at the Pearly Gates... St. Peter says... Rich, I need you to finish the joke. I could always count on Rich for the best jokes. After every one of his classes that I taught, we would meet at Dash's to go over the paperwork. It should have taken 5 to 10 minutes. We would be there for an hour and a half with Rich essentially holding court, knowing every other person who walked in the place. And he made every one of them smile. I am saddened by this loss but so happy to have known him. My thoughts go out to the family. Miss you buddy.
