Lee and Sally lived around the corner from Barbara and me and for many years Lee was my investment advisor specializing in options trading. and doing very well.  We became friends and he sponsored me into his Saturn Club where I made many other friendships and played Platform Tennis with him and his other friends during the winter on Mondays after work.  It was cold playing outside, but we loved it.

Actually, it was his summer invitations that cemented our lasting friendship.  For many, many years after work on Mondays Lee would gather a doubles group at his Canadian beach home where we played on his private tennis court.  These matches were great fun as I was fairly consistent, but when Lee discovered this, from time to time, he would lob me corner to corner to immense laughter from our net partners until exhausted I missed.

I remember after tennis while we showered Dr. Dave Dean always had to have a swim in Lee's pool. And we loved to play with the precocious Abell dog.  If I remember correctly, "Charlie?"  But then the really big conference took place:  where to have dinner?  I'll bet over the years we ate at every restaurant in Fort Erie.  Often with Sarah and/or Mark, and Sally. 

One time when I thought we might be getting tired of where we were going, I remember bringing a Google map of all the Ft. Erie restaurants that we poured over and found some new places to go.

I never forget those Monday tennis evenings at Lee's summer home as a very fond and beloved part of my life.  They were so enjoyable, and he was so nice to invite me into his circle of friends.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.  Lee was a great guy - I enjoyed our conversations at Buffalo Rotary.  I especially enjoyed running into him at the Canoe Club in yoga class.  I was in awe of his zest for life! Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Lee’s passing.   I am proud to have been associated with Lee for over 25 years as a colleague at Advest and then Merrill Lynch.  He was a consummate professional and always displayed the highest level of integrity in his client relationships.

The investment industry lost a “great one” when he retired, and today, we have all lost a wonderful human being.

It was a wonderful visit recently especially since we learned the house was designed by my grandfather Harvey S. Horton. 
Sally & Sarah were wonderful hosts and Lee was still as sharp as he always was.
