Jeanne P. (née Mills) Lawrence-Durawa, of Amherst, NY entered into rest on December 1, 2023 at age 93. Predeceased dearest wife of Robert Lawrence and Norman Durawa. Devoted mother of Thomas Lawrence, Susan Dederich, Patricia Fitzpatrick, Michael Lawrence, and Jon (Melanie) Lawrence. Jeanne was an adoring grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who always brought a smile to her face. She always made each and every one of them feel special in her presence. Dearest sister of the late Geraldine Wyckoff and Kathleen Denning. Jeanne attended St. Elizabeth’s Academy, Olean, NY. Upon graduation she attended Bryant and Stratton Institute. Jeanne went on to work as a secretary in downtown Buffalo and in her later years worked in retail. Jeanne loved her church and was active at St. Benedict’s as a eucharistic minister and a lifelong member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She also enjoyed playing golf with the "St. Bennie's" Ladies Golf League. Jeanne was also a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills. For many decades, until she was 89, she volunteered every Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Buffalo. Jeanne was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She was a gentle, kind, and positive woman who even in her most difficult last days was appreciative and gracious to everyone surrounding her. Relatives and friends may visit PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville, NY 14221 on Wednesday (December 6, 2023) from 4-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Church, 1317 Eggert Rd. (corner of Main St.), Amherst, NY 14226 on Thursday (December 7, 2023) at 10:30am. Interment Mt.
