McCLURE, Betty A. (nee Kideney) 97 of Williamsville died peacefully on June 25, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Bruce McClure; Devoted mother of Bonnie (Peter) Miller, Robert (Judi) McClure and William (Janet) McClure; Loving grandmother of Shay, Scott (Jennifer), Rob, John (Jenna), Chris (Cecilia), Greg and Kiley; Cherished great grandmother of 13 precious children, and; Caring aunt ot many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving sister, Jean Oliver.
Betty was born on November 4, 1925 to her parents Edna and Bruce Kideney in Snyder, New York
She grew up an active child and young lady enjoying horseback riding at The Park School as well as ballet dancing where she performed as a lead soloist in The Nutcracker Suite.
Betty attended Amherst High School where she graduated in 1942. Her life of activity continued as an adult with her new found passions for golf and figure skating. She was an accomplished ice dancer and performed in several local ice shows.
Betty met and fell in love with her husband Bruce McClure and they were married while he was serving in the US Navy stationed in Oceanside, California. After his military service Bruce opened a dental practice in Williamsville where Betty served as office manager. Together they raised 3 children and the the family looks back on fond memories of their yearly summer vacations in the Adirondack Mountains.
