On Friday, September 2, 2022, Arthur Frederic "Fred" Beaman, loving husband, father, brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 71. Fred was born in 1951 in Buffalo, NY to Arthur and Constance (nee Church) Beaman. He received his degrees in Sociology and Architecture from North Carolina State University and practiced architecture for 30 years in Buffalo, NY. In 1986, he married Patricia (nee Tobin) Beaman. Together they raised a daughter, Whitney Beaman. Fred was compassionate, generous, and devoted to his faith. Between 1996 and 1998, he completed the design and construction of an addition to his beloved Cleveland Heights Christian Church, including months of pro-bono work. Several other church additions and renovations were to follow. He kept a "blessing box" where he would set aside personal donations to help his fellow church goers when times were tough. Fred cared deeply for his neighbors and would often run errands or deliver home cooked meals to those in need. He served as Chair of the Cheektowaga Conservation Advisory Council and forcefully advocated saving trees, minimizing tree removal and improving the town's tree canopy. Fred was an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman who prided himself on being able to start a campfire with a single match. His fondest memories are of summers spent camping, hiking, and canoeing in Canada's Algonquin Provincial Park with his friends and family. Fred was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, and his mother, Constance. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his daughter Whitney, his sister Dawn (Don) Brien, his nephew Patrick (Alison) Brien, and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home Inc. (5541 Main St, Williamsville), from 1-3 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Cleveland Heights Christian Church (4774 Union Rd. Cheektowaga) at 10:30 AM. A private family burial will be held at Lancaster Rural Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Fred to the church.
