

Williamston Esther Roberson Wright of 1630 Cratt Rd., Williamston, NC, died at Brinton Woods Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sykesville, MD on Friday, August 31, 2012. Funeral services will be held at Macedonia Christian Church in Williamston, NC on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11 :00 AM with the Reverend Greg Sexton and Dolan Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC. Mrs. Wright was a member of Macedonia Christian Church. Mrs. Wright was born in Gates County on December 11, 1923. She was the daughter of Tommie L. and Creola Harrison Roberson. She grew up in the Bear Grass area of Martin County. She graduated from Bear Grass High School as Valedictorian of her class and attended Louisburg College where she was a member of Alpha Pi Epsilon Honor Society. She was employed by the National Security Agency (NSA) for 32 years as an accomplished cryptologic analyst. Upon retirement, she returned to the Bear Grass area and worked as a part time tax consultant for over 20 years.
She married Elhert C. Wright of Hampton, AR on September 1,1954, who preceded her in death in November, 1996.
Mrs. Wright is survived by a son, Edward L. Wright and his wife Donna, of Westminster, MD, a daughter, Debra E. Wright of Rockville, MD, and two grandsons Michael W. Wright of Sterling, VA, and Eric G. Wright, of Marblehead, MA. She is also survived by one stepdaughter, Donna Bourgeois and ber husband Bernie, of Collierville, TN and one stepdaughter-in-Iaw, Joyce Wright of Maumelle, AR, and three stepgrandsons, Wade Bourgeois of Alexandria, LA, Judd Bourgeois of Simi Valley, CA and Clayton Wright of Maumelle, AR, plus two stepgranddaughters, Abigail and Allison Wright of Maumelle, AR. She is also survived by one brother, Russell Roberson and his vvife Nan of Williamston, NC and one sister-in-Iaw, Mary Roberson, of Greensboro, NC.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Roberson and Paul Roberson. She also has four devoted nephews, Michael Roberson, Russell Roberson, Gary Roberson, and Graham Roberson, and two devoted nieces, Amy Jinette and Jennifer Roberson.
The family will receive visitation at the Biggs Funeral Home at 302 West Main St Williamston, NC: from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012.
