Sue was born on March 22, 1940 in Lansing, MI to Carl and Betty (Bunting) Keyes.
Sue was married to Richard “Dick” Menke on June 27, 1964. Sue was preceded in death by Dick on February 6, 2020.
Sue is survived by her four children Tina “Cris” Menke, Rick (Amy) Menke, Vicki (Shawn) Bishop and Mike (Renee) Menke, her brother Tom (Janeen) Keyes, cousins, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Sue loved her family and everything she did was focused on selflessly pouring herself into supporting, loving and helping her family. She was always eager to share stories of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. Sue was first and foremost a mother and a wife, but also spent 18 years working part time at Meijer once her kids were full-time in school. In her early years, Sue served in the Air Force. As her focus was always family, Sue spent much of her time baking, sewing, knitting and making crafts for the ones she loved. She enjoyed gardening in her back yard and vacationing with her family. She also loved watching her children and grandchildren in a variety of school and other activities and attending tailgates and games for MSU. Spending the winters in Florida with Dick and enjoying all of the social events and friendships at Saddlebag Lake Resort was something Sue looked forward to each year. Sue always had a beautiful smile and was willing to offer advice, a listening ear, or just a hug to anyone in need. She taught her children much good in life, including how to love and forgive unconditionally.
