Paul graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and worked for C2AE as a Construction Coordinator for 25 years.
In 1989, Paul met the love of his life, Norah Tangney. They were married in 1991 and spent 27 happy years together. They raised two beautiful daughters, Bailey and Emma, and he welcomed his son-in-law, Brenin Richardson into the family in 2014. In 2017 he became the proud grandfather (“Pop Pop”) to Eleanor Richardson. Paul’s family meant everything to him and home was always his favorite place to be.
Paul was an avid steelhead and salmon fisherman. He was an incredibly talented guitar player and will be remembered as a man who brought music with him wherever he went.
To know Paul was to love him. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. His quick wit and hilarious stories kept everyone laughing. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by a large community of family, friends, and coworkers.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Donald L. Risberg and Margaret Risberg.
He is survived by his wife, Norah Risberg, and daughters, Bailey Richardson and Emma Risberg; his son-in-law, Brenin Richardson; his granddaughter, Eleanor Richardson; his siblings, Peter Risberg and Patricia Mogridge; and a host of beloved family.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home on Friday, May 25, 2018. A visitation will take place from 2-3:30 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Immediately following the service will be a Celebration of Life at Brookshire Inn & Golf Club in Williamston at 5 p.m.
