Kathleen Webster was born February 26, 1924 in LeRoy Twp. to Eugene and Pearl (Rose) Emons, and passed away March 16, 2015 in Williamston at age 91.
Kathleen dearly loved her church family at Vantown Community Church, she was a member of the Wheatfield Extension Group, and was a clerk for Wheatfield Township for many years. She was an avid bowler until the age of 84, and a very active member at the Williamston Senior Center. Kathleen worked at MSU TelFarm Bookkeeping Service for many years, and was a wonderful grandmother to all her grandchildren. Kathleen will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Kathleen’s family would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at Haven of Rest, and Hospice of Lansing for taking such good care of their mother.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, husband Coridon Webster, son-in-law Charlie Cook, and granddaughter Kristina Cook. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Ida (Warren) Douglas, Corinne Cook, grandchildren Wendy Witchell, Craig Douglas, Brad (Lenna) Douglas, and Todd (Lindia) Cook, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday March 21, 2015 at 11am at Vantown Community Church, 3504 E. Howell Rd., Webberville, with pastor Terry Turner officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will directly follow the service at Dennis Cemetery, Williamston.
