Patricia Jane Salimbene

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Owen Hartman of Parker, PA.

Patricia was an executive secretary for Battelle Memorial Institute. She belonged to the Presbyterian Church (USA) and was a proud Army wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She was an avid bridge player, oil painter, golfer and indefatigable volunteer. Patricia served as a military news reporter for the Monterey Herald, a senior citizens advocate at Burcham Hills Retirement Community, President of Sparrow Hospital Gift Volunteers and President of MOAA Ladies (Military Officers Assn of America).

Patricia is survived by her husband, Col (ret.) Frank Salimbene; daughters, Jodi Lingan, and her husband, Bob, and Jill Salimbene; grandchildren, Emma Lingan, Nicco Held-Salimbene and Lucca Held-Salimbene; cousin, Joan Robertson; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Friday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Patriot’s Colony, Grand Hall, 6000 Patriot’s Colony Dr., Williamsburg, VA 23188. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
