John Lee Walker, Jr., 16, passed away in Newport News, Virginia on Monday, October 26, 2020. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Parrish Dixon; paternal grandfather, Daniel Walker, Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Cooke; and maternal great-grandfather, Charles Marsh.
In the 11th grade, John attended Lafayette High School and played the saxophone in the marching band. He enjoyed his job at Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant, hanging out with friends, playing video games and loved the Dallas Cowboys. John received his driver’s license and loved to drive. He was looking forward to his 1st vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade that he had purchased and was due to be delivered November 1, 2020. John loved his granny who he spent his weekend with and loved his mother and siblings.
Survivors include his mother, Monique Marsh; special dad, Tony Robinson, Sr.; father, John Lee Walker, Sr.; brothers, Tony Robinson, Jr. and Stefan Walker; sisters, Keyona Walker, Milian Robinson, Cassidy Robinson, MaLisa Berkley-Holmes and Miracle Blair; grandmother, Gwendolyn Cooke; grandfather, Calvin Lee Marsh (Darlene); 3 nieces; 6 nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles and loving family members and friends.
A visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 5-7pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. The service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Nelsen Funeral Home.
