George Adams Pollin, Jr.

George Adams Pollin, Jr., (U.S. Army Ret.), 91, passed away Tuesday, August 6th, in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Williams Pollin.
He served his country with dignity and honor as an officer in the U.S. Army Field Artillery Corps, and received his B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and later his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. George served in the Vietnam War and his decorations include the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster.
George was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church of Williamsburg and enjoyed golf and woodworking.
Survivors include daughters, Victoria Pollin Thompson (Mathew Thompson) and Leslie Pollin Cushnie (George Cushnie); son, George Adams Pollin, III (Katie Pollin); grandchildren, George Nathan Cushnie, Emily Schaheen, Christen Meister, Sean Routten, Christopher Routten, Megan Pollin and George A. Pollin, IV; and great-grandchildren, Isabella Routten, William Routten, Alexandra Cushnie, Charlotte Schaheen and Henry Meister.
Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in George’s name to Catholic Relief Services at https://www.crs.org/.
