Donald Albin Myers passed away on December 6, 2023, with his loving family at his side. Don was born in Denver, Colorado and most recently resided in Charlottesville, Virginia. During his 87 years he lived all over the United States including Vienna, Virginia, and traveled the world, most of it with his lifelong love, Joan.
After High School, Don went on to graduate with a BS in Petroleum Engineering at Colorado School of Mines, served our nation in the Army Corps of Engineers, and achieved a PhD in Neurophysiology at the University of Denver. With Joan at his side, Don had a career for many years with the Central Intelligence Agency, where he received two prestigious awards, the Intelligence Medal of Merit and the National Intelligence Medal of Achievement, finally retiring from Hughes Space Systems to Williamsburg, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his adored wife, Joan, and his sister, Dorothy. He is survived by sons, Christopher and his wife, Kathie, along with Stephen and his wife, Helena; grandsons, Zachery, Casey, Brendan, Ian, Colin, and Brian; great-grandson, Noah and great-granddaughter, Madelynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
