He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Clyde; and his brother, Larry.
Following his service with the U.S. Army, Dennis worked as a computer systems analyst for Rockwell Automation. He loved to cook and was quite a chef. He also loved ACC college basketball, especially March Madness. He liked to stay politically informed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pam; his brother, Jim and wife, Janet and nieces, Renee (Ryan) and Stephanie (Dan); his sister, Mary Ann and husband, Glen, and niece and nephew, Arin and Sean (Danielle); his sister-in-law, Irma and niece and nephew, Michele and Chris (Tamra); his sister-in-law, Lynn-Marie and husband, John and nephew, Chris (Liz); his sister-in-law, Paula and nephew and niece, Bryce and Addie; his great nieces and nephews; and his treasured and deeply loved pets, Clancy, Murphy, Miss Molly, D’Arcy, Ballou and Tischer.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Humane Society, 430 Waller Mill Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188.
