Benjamin Thomas Haight

Benjamin Thomas Haight, “Tommy” to everyone who knew him, passed away on April 30, 2023 in his home in Mechanicsville, Virginia. At the age of four, he was predeceased by his father, Benjamin, Sr., and later by his parents, Evelyn and John Foster; his wife Marie; brother-in-law Rick; and a nephew. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, his big heart and being ready to lend you a hand or tool when you needed it. Tommy learned many lessons the hard way but the thing that always brought him the most joy was seeing his children and later grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tommy is survived by his three children, Terry (Bobby), Tina (Craig), and Jason (Melissa); step-son, Steven (Kim); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Earleen; brothers, John and Jimmy; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in Tommy’s honor on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:00pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg.
