Albert Fletcher Sisk Jr.

Sisk, Albert Fletcher, Jr. died peacefully on March 22, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Douglass. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Landon of Wilmington, NC; his sons, Douglass of Oakhurst, CA and Geoffrey (Jennifer) of Richmond, VA; and his grandchildren, Blakeley, Peter, and Charlotte.
Born in Preston, MD in 1928, he attended Preston High School and graduated from Mercersburg Academy. He attended Washington and Lee University where he was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. After serving in the United States Navy, he worked for A.W. Sisk and Sons, in Preston, MD, and later became a successful insurance broker, in Easton, MD. Always described as a true gentleman, he was a devoted and generous husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed his life-long passions – hunting, spending time at Bethany Beach, and traveling the world with his family. Fletcher was passionate about the educational mission of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. His family is grateful for the steadfast care and support of the nurses and staff at Woodhaven in Williamsburg Landing.
A celebration of his life will be held in the Williamsburg Landing auditorium on Thursday, March 24 at 2 p.m. The interment service will be held at Bethesda United Methodist Church, Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. in Preston, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation or Washington and Lee University.
