Robert (Bob) B. Roberts, Jr. passed away on February 11, 2024 after losing his battle to cancer. He left behind his beloved and loving wife Barbara Jean Rohr of twenty-four years. Bob is also survived by his siblings Timothy (Sharon) Roberts of Bay City, MI, Michael (Janis) Roberts of Twin Spitz, WA, Douglas Roberts of Bay City, MI, Steven (Kathy) Roberts of Bay City, MI, Barbara Graves of Canonsburg, PA, Kay (Walter J) Stepanski of Royal Oak, MI. He was also a loving uncle to 14 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bob graduated from Central Michigan University with a MBA in Business Education in 1973. He was an autoworker for General Motors Company for thirty years. Bob met his wife Barbara in Fort Wayne, IN while working for General Motors. They married in May 1999 and after retirement they moved to The Villages, FL. While at the Villages, Bob became friends with many wonderful neighbors. Bob was an avid and passionate golfer. He belonged to two golf leagues and enjoyed playing golf with his buddies and brothers. He enjoyed the experience of having three holes in one. Bob also was an ambassador and starter for the Mallory Golf Club for three and a half years. Football was another sport that he enjoyed and was a loyal fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions.
Faith was important to Bob. He attended St. Vincent de Paul and was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered his time for many of their services and activities. Bob was also generous with his time helping family, friends, and neighbors. The family welcomes donations to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
