Charles Wesley "Wes" Buckman, age 83, of The Villages, Florida passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. Charles was born October 3, 1938 in Mt. Airy, Maryland to the late Charles Leo and Florence Irene Buckman.
He graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and went on to have a long and successful career with Baltimore Gas and Electric where he retired after 37 years of service. In his second career he drove a Motorcoach-something he greatly enjoyed doing. In 2011 he and his wife moved to The Villages, where he took on new hobbies including golf, bocce, trivia and a lot of socialization activities with clubs.
He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Kathy Davis.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 wonderful years, Joyce Buckman; children, Keith Buckman (Carol), Terrie Becker (Bill), David Buckman (Karen) and Brenda Buckman; sisters, Kay Greer and Connie Fuhr (Dick); seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one on the way as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Wes' Life will be held on Friday, October 14th at 9:00am at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center located at 7134 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL 34785.
