She moved with her family to Wichita in 1951. Sharon attended Dodge Elementary, Mayberry Intermediate and West High School, where she graduated.
Sharon had one child, Kirsten, born October 29, 1968.
She worked for the City of Wichita, retiring after 40 years.
Sharon moved to Well Spring Care Home on October 14, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kirsten Adams; brothers: Raymond Weakly, Ronald Weakly; and sister, Shirley Schnug.
She is survived by brothers: Leroy, John and Kenneth Weakly; grandson, Samuel Adams; granddaughter, Emma Adams; and great- grandson, Ezra.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Monday, January 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a funeral service at 3:00 PM and a graveside service to follow all occurring at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
A memorial has been established in Sharon's honor with Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 1818 Library Street, Suite 500, Reston, Virginia 20190.
