Samuel Scotty Patton, age 70 passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was born June 30, 1951 to Bea and Iva (Wickersham) Patton in Pyatt, Arkansas. Sam proudly served in the United States Marine Corp earning the title Corporal and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, step grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by many. He was employed with The Boeing Company for 23+ years plus and CSC when he retired after 5 years with this company.
Sam earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Doctorate of Law degree. He was a 32nd degree Mason, was a member of the Scottish Rite and Templar. He had many hobbies like, cording of key chains, bracelets and bookmarks, learning how to play his piano and loved reading books. Sam loved music of different genres such as classical music down to country music but his favorite music was pop music from the 1940's to the 1970's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bea and Iva (Wickersham ) Patton; first wife, Connie J (Froese) Patton; two sisters, Beitrice Patton Cheek and Pansy Estelle Patton Weter; and one brother, Arthur "Tony" Patton.
Sam is survived by his second wife, Connie L. (Carr) Patton; sons, Christopher (Anna Chemilli) Patton and Phillip (Alyssa Sullard) Patton of Wichita, KS; step children, Elizabeth Perrigo Neal, Michael Perrigo and Danielle Perrigo Allen; siblings, Marie Patton Morgan (Bill) of Wichita, KS, Barbara Patton Weston of Willard, MO and Roger "Nick" Patton (Julie Edwards) of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Antonio, Guilianna and Mia Patton; step grandchildren, Ryan Vincent (Chelsea Sams) of Morris, OK, Brookelyn Vincent and Dalton Vincent of Oregon, Kaylin Allen Thornton (Tyler) of Kansas City, MO, Kane Allen of Tyro, KS, Sierra Dragoo of Tabor, Iowa; and step great-grandchildren, Sam and Greysin Prue of Tabor, Iowa, Connor Vincent of Morris, OK, Ezra and Ezekiel Gonzalez of Oregon and Kinsley Kvenbo of Oregon.
A come and go visitation for Sam will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. There will be a private family only graveside held at a later date.
