Burks, Ronald D., 81, retired supervisor of Safeway meat processing died October 18, 2012. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jessie Burks; sisters, Betty Katen, Shirley Ann Burks and brother, Raymond Burks. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ellen; daughters, DeAnna (Brad) Mullins, Dawna (Brad) Bechtel all of Wichita; grandchildren, Grant and Aaron Bechtel, Katy (Danny) Bevan; great grandchildren, Jewell Flores, Hunter and Collin Bevan. Visitation with family present is Sunday 5 to 7 pm and funeral service is 10:00 am Monday, October 22 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to Kansas Masonic Alzheimer’s Unit, Rivercross Hospice or Central Avenue United Methodist Church.
