On Friday July 22, 2022, Ronald Lee Bowring, local business founder, loving husband, father, and Peepaw passed away at age 80. Ron was born on September 25, 1941. His early life started out in Pennsylvania, where he developed his staunch love of soft pretzels. Eventually fate led Ron to Wichita, Kansas where he met and ultimately married Olivia "Kitty" Bowring on April 7, 1972, the love of his life. While raising their family, Ron and Kitty built a thriving audio-visual business that still stands to this day. When he wasn't working or spending time with family, Ron had a passion for flying planes. This passion took him all over the county and gave him the opportunity to jet to one of his most enjoyed places - his lake house in Missouri. There he enjoyed spending time near the water on his lakeside deck and in the water on his pontoon boat. Ron also enjoyed restoring and showing his collection of antique cars. His favorite was the 1951 Mercury that won him multiple awards. Above all else, Ron had a passion for his family. He absolutely loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Bowring, his sons Jerry Bowring and Steven Bowring, grandson Dave Bowring, Jr., sister; Joann Zeigler.
