McCormick, Robert L. (Bob), 80, a resident of San Antonio TX, formerly of Wichita, passed away December 9, 2014. Bob was born March 9, 1934 in DeBuke, Arkansas in a small cabin behind a cannery that his aunt and uncle owned. He attended Ridgeway Elementary and graduated from Harrison Senior High School in Harrison, AR. Bob drove a fresh produce truck during his senior year of school. He moved to Pueblo Colorado to attend Pueblo Business School where he earned his associates degree. Bob then went to Leon Kansas where he worked for a short time for the Santa Fe RR. Bob relocated to San Antonio Texas in 1988, working for Shepps Dairy, which was later purchased by Oak Farms Dairy. He worked for the dairy 18 years in sales, mainly handling special accounts and entertaining customers. His love for people was clear in his many opportunities to play golf and take them hunting and fishing. Many stories have been told of his escapades and his joy of life. A dear friend states, “Somewhere in the night a close friend’s spirit left his body and moved on to whatever is next. We will miss his roaring laugh, great big smile, contagious fun loving personality, and his fellowship. Bob McCormick was a giant of a man with a matching heart. He filled doorways with his body, rooms with his joyous laughter, and hearts with his love. Rest in peace our friend.” Preceded in death by his parents Ben and Rhoda McCormick, son Gregory Kent McCormick, wives, Mary Ragland McCormick and Martie Ioeger McCormick.
