Rex Eugene Eyman

Rex Eugene Eyman, age 78, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. He was born on January 4, 1944 to Walter and Verna Eyman in Liberal, Kansas. Shortly after his mothers' passing he was raised by his aunt Jane Lamon who like a mother to him.

After serving four years in the United States Air Force he worked as a counselor for Comcare for 30 years and then the VA until retirement.

One of his proudest moments was obtaining his masters degree in psychology from the University of Texas.

Rex married Patsy in 2006 where they shared 16 years together. Rex loved traveling with Patsy to Greece and spending time with grandchildren in London.

Rex was an avid reader, enjoyed woodworking, and volunteering at the Red Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings Terry Eyman and Vernon W. Eyman, and first wife Pamela S. Hartman.

Survivors include wife Patsy Dunn- Eyman, two children Deborah (Alan) Hofmeyr, Matthew Eyman and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A recitation of rosary for Rex will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 7:00 PM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N.Ridge Rd., Wichita, KS 67205. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:30 AM, 3642 N. Ridge Rd., Wichita, KS 67205 followed by a committal service will occur Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
