Born Patricia Margaret Giacomo, September 29, 1936, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Met Jesus early evening, April 19, 2010, Wichita, Kansas.
Pat lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for most of her early life. She lived with her family, father Edmund (Pap) and mother Margaret (Mum) and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. They lived a simple and honest life in the heart of Pittsburgh. For the first six years of schooling she attended Catholic school with her sister Peg. She spent the rest of her school years in the public school system.
In 1952, during a trip to visit a cousin in Phoenix, Arizona, she met and later married Gene Herrscher. They were blessed with four children, 2 girls and 2 boys. They settled in Garden City, Kansas in 1968.
After almost 24 years of marriage, Pat and Gene parted ways in 1978. In 1979 she met Jack Morris and moved to Florida and later to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They enjoyed a relatively fun-filled and carefree life.
In 1985 Pat and Jack moved to Wichita, Kansas to be closer to their children and ultimately their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 1990 Pat and Jack were married and she extended her family by four additional children from Jack’s previous marriage.
As an Executive Administrator for the Wichita Parks Department, she earned the respect of her peers and supervisors. After almost 19 years of service, she retired in 2003.
Pat enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. The borders of her driveway rivaled that of Better Homes and Garden.
Pat’s favorite past time was caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved sitting on her covered back porch, sipping iced tea, telling tales of her early childhood with her sister Peg, and of all the adventures they shared on the streets of Pittsburgh.
Pat was loved by many and will be missed by all. She now has a new job taking care of us from Heaven with her sister Peg.
May God bless you. We will miss you.
