Oliver Ray Anderson, age 91, of Wichita, Kansas joined his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Oliver was born January 2, 1932 in Geddes, South Dakota to Thelma Kemper Anderson and George Anderson. He was a loving husband to Marjorie for 70 years, a dedicated father, grandfather and friend. His inspiring faith in God was an example to all who knew him as well as his kind and generous spirit, always offering a helping hand. Through Oliver and Marjorie's faith, they formed many strong friendships at various churches including the last 49 years spent at Central Christian Church. Throughout his life he achieved success in his career and was well respected for his integrity and hard work by his colleagues and peers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing with friends and was a longtime loyal fan of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and the Wichita State Shockers. He and Marjorie enjoyed traveling the globe, often commenting how blessed he was to visit so many beautiful places across the world.
Oliver is survived by his wife, Marjorie Anderson; sons Steven Anderson (Martine'), Martin Anderson, and Brian Anderson (Jenny); daughter Susan Anderson (Greg Dalke); brother Myron Anderson (Marilyn Potvin); grandchildren Melissa Hancock (Brandon), Darren Anderson (Erin), Tanner Anderson, Evan Anderson, Shauna Anderson, Adam Bengston (Tracy); and great grandchildren Madison, Foster, Luke, Kyle and Jackson.
Oliver was preceded in death by his father George Anderson; mother Thelma Kemper Anderson; and sister Marilyn Anderson.
A Celebration Of Life for Oliver will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM with viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Central Christian Church, 2900 N Rock Rd, Wichita, KS 67226.
