Nancy was born on March 5, 1961, to Lawrence and Donna (Briggs) Lee, in Wichita, KS. She attended schools in Wichita and Belle Plaine, Kansas. She worked at David’s clothing store until she was 18, and then her Daddy got her a job at Beechcraft, where she enjoyed a 39 year career as a tool crib attendant.
From the moment she was born, it was Go Big, or Go Home! She had the typical “red-headed” spitfire personality, with the biggest heart. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time fishing and loved this alongside her parents, especially when she was catching the bigger fish and she and her dad would laugh about his baby fish. There was also time camping with friends and family, demolition derbys with “her boys”, and the Kansas City Chiefs. Nancy never met a stranger, and welcomed everyone she met with opened arms, a smile and a hug. The love she had for her family and friends was immeasurable and the smile she got when she was with her grandbabies could light up the darkest of rooms. One of her favorite memories was beating her grandsons Kyle and Tyler in Mario Kart and watching Tyler play football and baseball. She loved sewing and made all of her daughters, grandkids and great-grandsons stockings and tree skirts for Christmas.
We could describe her as, "Absolutely amazing in every way possible and the best nana!"
She was preceded in death by her Daddy, Lawrence Lee; her big brothers: Johnnie and Ronnie Lee; her paternal and maternal grandparents; and numerous other beloved family members.
She was extremely loved and will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her Mom: Donna Lee; her daughters: Heidi Jo, Nicki Lee, Mandi (Jerrod), and Chanista (Kyle); 18 Grandchildren: (Kyle, Matthew, Tyler, Drew, Shay, Donna Jo, Taya, Rustyn, Phoenix, Landon, Danicka, Dylan, Sammi, Skyler, Madison, Pyper, Teygen, and Amiyah); and 2 Great-Grandsons: (Princtyn and Grayson); numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other “adopted” children.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, a funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm with a graveside service to follow. All at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
