Bowling, Melvin O. “Mel”, 85, retired Lear Jet tool and die maker, passed away September 1, 2012. Mel was a craftsman, working in stained glass, and an inventor at heart. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Bowling. His survivors include his wife, Betty; children, Robert A. (Kathy) Bowling, Kathy (Tony) Jenkins and DuWayne M. Bowling; brother, Charles Ocie Bowling; sisters, Betty O’Bleness, “Tiny” Rainbolt, Doll Yunker, Elaine Alexander, Anne Harrod and Karen Maris; grandchildren, Barton Bowling and Amber (Eric) Lagaly and great-grandchild, Eric Lagaly, Jr. Visitation at 6:00 pm with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday and Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Thursday, Sept. 6th both at St. Anne Catholic Church. Arrangements with Resthaven Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
