Mark Stone

Mark Stone, 73, retired owner of WEJ & Stone Insurance, passed away on March 19, 2024, with family by his side. He was born April 25, 1950, to Mark E. Stone and Grace Carter Stone. He graduated from Southeast High School in 1968 and from Emporia State University in 1972.

He participated in many NBC Tournaments representing various teams, he was a member of Reflection Ridge Golf Club since 1989, officiated college basketball, and a member of the Midian Shrine. He had many friends and was a master at joke telling and the life of the party. He had a group of friends from high school through college; his group of golf buddies; and his Lake of the Ozark buddies. If you asked any of the group of friends they'd have great stories to tell. Also, there wasn't anything that he couldn't repair and his garage showed it.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

He is survived by: his wife, Carolyn; son, Andrew (Veronica) Stone; and two granddaughters, Hope Stone and Faith Stone.

A private family service will take place.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 30th from 2-4pm at Reflection Ridge Clubhouse.
