Mark graduated from Campus High School in 1975 and then worked in power line construction with his father. He worked for Sedgwick County on the bridge crew. He eventually started Powell Tree Service doing tree trimming, stump grinding, and lawn service. He enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends. Mark has accepted Jesus as his savior, was baptized by desire and is now a member of Three Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, AB Powell.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Powell, sister, Tammie Rieg, brother in law, Kevin Rieg MD and his black lab, Midnight.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 7th, 2022 10:00 am at Three Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church, 5118 SW 100th St, Augusta, Kansas 67010.
A private graveside will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Three Wooden Crosses Building Fund.
