Mary Madeline Campbell Johnson, age 101 passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was born October 2, 1920 to Alfred and Mattie (Worley) Briggs in Formosa, Kansas. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, "second mom" and friend who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Melvin Campbell and second husband, Cecil Johnson; son, James Campbell; and five siblings.
Madeline is survived by her children, Kay (Max) Jester and Dan E. Campbell; grandchildren, Vicki (Jeff) Winchell, Melvin Dies, Sheryl Hammes and Sandra (Tom) House; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A come and go visitation with family present will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Monday, February 7th, at Resthaven Mortuary. There will be a private family only funeral service for Madeline, Tuesday, February 8th.
