Carson, Loretta J., 92, retired Cessna secretary, hospital volunteer for 28 years in both Wichita, KS, and Mission, T.X, joined her heavenly family December 12, 2014. Loretta was a Wichita native and the eldest of seven children born to David and Naoma Brown. She was an avid reader who enjoyed word puzzles, playing cards, and traveling with her husband. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert E. Carson, and four brothers, Marvin “Bud”, Ralph, Theodore “Ted”, and Daryl Brown, and one sister, Phyllis Varner. She is survived by children; David (Sandy) Carson of Fort Collins, CO, Sandra (Rob) Carter of Goddard, KS, and Catherine (Peter) Mullaney of Falmouth, ME; brother, Lavern Brown; grandchildren, Jeanne Smith, Sheryl (Andy) Stemmons, Kyle (Erin) Carson, Corey Carson, Katie (Brian) Dodds, Robert “Bobby” Carson, Erin Mullaney, and Megan (Tyler) Eads; and great-grandchildren, Kirstin Stemmons, Haley Smith, Dylan Stemmons, River Carson, Autumn Carson, Weston Carson, and Meadow Carson. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sat. Jan. 31st, 2015 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wichita, KS. Loretta was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be dearly missed.
