Lena was born August 6, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Standlee and Ramona (McNeece) Spencer. She graduated from Wichita West High School with the class of 1990.
Lena enjoyed riding her motorcycle, listening to different music, dancing with her loved ones, always was willing to help others in need, and in Lena’s last selfless act she was an organ donor to help save the lives of others. Lena truly enjoyed watching and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs as she was an avid fan. Overall, she was a jack-of-all-trades and was able to do anything she put her mind to.
She lived her life to the fullest and she will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Lena was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mam-ma, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Ray Spencer and Tommy Spencer.
She is survived by her wife, Kathy; children Athena DeHart and Mari Hernandez; grandson Thomas Wayne DeHart; step-father Don Collins; sisters Dorothy Spencer and Lecia Bugg; her bonus family Meadow Campbell (Ryan), Ashlea Schumaker, Forrest Schumaker, Caden Konecny, and Cameron Konecny along with many countless friends whom she considered family.

“A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, It broke our hearts to see you go, God only takes the best. They say that memories are golden, Well maybe that is true, But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you.”
“Keep it legal, Lena!”
