Karen was born on February 3, 1947 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Albert and Genevieve Kinsey.
Karen married the love of her life, David Cardona, May 11, 1964. Through their union they had four children: Lisa, Michael, David and Joseph. Karen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She worked for W.W. Grinders for 20 years until the company closed its operations in Wichita, Kansas. Karen then worked at the Wichita Greyhound Park until she retired.
Karen is preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert and Genevieve Kinsey; three brothers: Albert, Larry and Charles Kinsey; and three sisters: Patricia Tomlin, Sharon Davidson and Rebecca Hutchinson. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, David "Poo" Cardona III; Daughter, Lisa (Tim) Hollon; Sons: Michael (Alicia) Cardona, David (Sonya) Cardona and Joseph (Sonya) Cardona; Sister, Vickie (Robert) Cardona; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Karen will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM; funeral service will be Friday, May 19, at 10:00 AM, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita. Graveside will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of The Lord's Prayer.
