Woolard, Julia L., 75, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday July 11, 2018 at her home in Wichita. Julia was born the daughter of Ernest and Geneva Lynn on September 16, 1942 in Fredericktown, Missouri. Julia and Lewis Woolard were united in marriage until his passing in March of 2018. Julia was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a past Grand Royal Matron of Amaranth. She was a longtime member of Dawson United Methodist Church in Wichita. She graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelors degree in education and taught for 10 years in English and Journalism. Julia retired from Beech after over 30 years. After retirement Julia and Lewis loved to travel to various model airplane competitions. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lewis and nephew, Luke Cresse. Survivors include her loving siblings, Larry "Joe" (Sandra) Lynn, Carolyn (Larry) Cresse, nieces, Holly Upshaw, Tara Brace, nephew, Scott Lynn, 3 great nieces,1 great nephew and 2 great-great nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with celebration of life services following at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 21, 2018 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation c/o Jo Jennings, 608 S. Walnut, Douglass, Kansas.
