Juanita was born September 29, 1944, in Newton, KS, the daughter of the late Phorest and Fern (Jordan) Dilts. She was a 1962 graduate of Sedgwick High School in Sedgwick, KS, and attended Kansas State University. Juanita married David LeRoy Everman on February 7, 1971, in Sedgwick, KS. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1990.
Juanita was a loving homemaker and adored her children and grandchildren. Spending time with her family brought the most joy to her life. She was an avid collector of porcelain dolls, a talented seamstress, enjoyed gardening, and loved Persian cats and Pomeranians. She was kind-hearted, and a devoted Christian.
Juanita is survived by her son, James (Rebecca) Everman of Westerville, OH; stepdaughter, Julie (Brian) Meisner of Kansas City, MO; stepson, David (Gwen) Everman of Olathe, KS; three brothers: Wayne (Dee) Dilts and Jim (Cathy) Dilts of Wichita, KS and Roger (Carolyn) Dilts of Alpine, TX; six grandchildren: David Everman, Rachael Everman, David (Sydney) Meisner, Andrew Meisner, Danielle Everman, and Christopher Swartley; one great-grandchild, Amelia Meisner; and many nieces and nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her baby brother, Richard.
A visitation will take place Thursday November 9th, 4-6 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary. A funeral service will be November 10th at 1 p.m. with burial to follow also at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, both at 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209.
Immediately following the burial, friends and family are invited to an informal gathering with refreshments at Central Community Church, 6100 W Maple St. Wichita.
